Sound Familiar?
You have been to doctor after doctor. Your labs come back in the normal range. You are told there is nothing wrong. But you know your body, and you know something is off. The problem is not you. It is the tests they are running.
If you're experiencing any of these, we can help.
The Med Matrix Process
Your path to feeling like yourself again, step by step.
We start with a thorough review of your symptoms, health history, and any previous lab work. Your provider determines which advanced tests will give us the most useful answers for your situation.
We run targeted panels that go far beyond what conventional medicine checks. This may include DUTCH testing, comprehensive hormone panels, food sensitivity testing, gut analysis, inflammatory markers, nutrient levels, and more.
Your provider reviews every result using optimal ranges, not just population averages. We connect the dots between your labs and your symptoms to identify the root cause of what you are experiencing.
You leave with a clear, actionable treatment plan built on real data. No guessing. No generic protocols. Just a targeted strategy designed to get you feeling like yourself again.

“Five doctors. Three specialists. All normal labs. Med Matrix ran a comprehensive panel and found thyroid antibodies, severe vitamin D deficiency, and gut dysbiosis. Within two months of targeted treatment, I started feeling human again. The testing made all the difference.”
“My primary care doctor ran a basic metabolic panel and told me I was fine. Med Matrix ran over 80 markers and found insulin resistance, low testosterone, and elevated inflammatory markers. I had no idea how much was being missed. Finally, someone looked deeper.”
“I was convinced something was wrong with my thyroid, but my TSH was always normal. Med Matrix ran a full thyroid panel including free T3, free T4, reverse T3, and antibodies. Turns out I had Hashimoto's that had been missed for years. Proper treatment changed my life.”

Common Questions
Standard labs check a limited number of markers against broad population ranges. Functional medicine testing checks far more markers, uses optimal ranges based on clinical research, and includes specialized tests like DUTCH hormone testing, comprehensive stool analysis, food sensitivity panels, and organic acids testing that most conventional doctors never order.
DUTCH stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. It provides a detailed picture of how your body produces, metabolizes, and clears hormones over a full 24-hour cycle. It reveals patterns that standard blood tests simply cannot, including cortisol curves, estrogen metabolism pathways, and androgen markers.
Standard lab reference ranges are based on the average population, which includes people who are unhealthy. A result can fall within the 'normal' range and still be far from optimal for your body. Additionally, standard panels often miss entire categories of markers like reverse T3, fasting insulin, inflammatory cytokines, and organic acids.
Our comprehensive panels can include a full thyroid panel (TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, thyroid antibodies), complete hormone assessment, metabolic markers (fasting insulin, glucose, HbA1c), inflammatory markers (CRP, homocysteine, ESR), nutrient levels (vitamin D, B12, iron studies, magnesium), and more. The specific tests depend on your symptoms and history.
Allergy testing measures IgE immune responses, which cause immediate reactions. Food sensitivity testing measures IgG and other delayed immune responses that can cause symptoms hours or days after eating. These delayed reactions often show up as bloating, fatigue, brain fog, skin issues, or joint pain and are frequently missed by conventional allergy testing.
Depending on your situation, we may test anywhere from 50 to over 100 individual markers. The specific tests are chosen based on your symptoms, health history, and clinical presentation. We do not run unnecessary tests, but we also do not leave gaps that could miss important findings.
Med Matrix does not bill insurance directly. However, many of our lab tests can be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA and FSA funds can be used. We provide detailed receipts and documentation to support your claims.
Most standard blood work results come back within 5 to 7 business days. Specialized tests like DUTCH, comprehensive stool analysis, and food sensitivity panels typically take 2 to 3 weeks. Your provider schedules a detailed review appointment once all results are in.
Your provider reviews every result in a thorough consultation, explaining what was found, how the markers connect to your symptoms, and what it means for your health. From there, we build a personalized treatment plan targeting the root causes identified by your testing.
Testing at Med Matrix is part of a comprehensive clinical evaluation. We do not offer testing in isolation because the value is in the expert interpretation and personalized treatment plan that follows. Running advanced tests without proper context and follow-up does not serve your health.
Yes. We frequently see patients who have had testing done elsewhere. We review your existing results, identify gaps, and determine which additional tests would add clarity. Often, the issue is not that testing was done but that it was incomplete or interpreted using standard ranges instead of optimal ones.
